    Sir/Madam:

I lost my Life Membership Card. Would you please send me another card at your earliest convenience? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

    1. First, one might presume that this web log is well positioned on the MOAA web site to express what MOAA can’t say directly (assuming MOAA would have an interest in saying something indirectly…and we think that it certainly should do that on behalf of The Best and Finest of Us™). Reading what MOAA has to directly say is fine, as long as one is aware that it is a lobbying organization—which must straddle the fence between the good, the bad and the ugly within the corporate public sector, i.e, Capitol Hill and the White House (as well as having to perform a balancing act atop supporting fence posts that most likely are comprised of the corporate private sector and the corporate public and private sectors’ corporate media outlets). Yes, we’re pretty sure we know who in the end really runs things in Washington, D.C.—and they aren’t the voters…no matter how often said voters are afforded the constitutional freedom, right and privilege of casting their ballots, i.e., every 2, 4 & 6 years to (primarily) reelect representatives, the president (up to two times) & senators.
    2. In any event, whether this web log has “many listeners” must certainly be a matter of record within the MOAA web site’s statistical tracking programs. It appears to have “few posters”—which may correspond to “many listeners” who simply may not feel certain of their anonymity (just a guess on our part).
    3. As for us, we are pleased to post our comments to this web log when it is relevant to what our small research group has (over the past 30 years) found to be historically significant. We have a straightforward 3-part agenda that does not include making money—something that is probably a bit hard for most Washingtonians to grasp. “Inside the Beltway” is where money colors most everything…and where there are many colors of money (and where power, privilege, influence and control are what emanate from that money). We’re talking about incoming money (campaign contributions) and outgoing money (congressional appropriations). We’re also talking about political patronage, where congressional appropriations (money) are directly and indirectly dispensed by way of the salaries and benefits packages paid out through political appointments to an untold number of patronage positions scattered throughout the Beltway (and beyond).
    4. Lastly, when this web log either directly or indirectly addresses our 3 issues, we will think seriously about posting: 1) Lowering middle class taxes and raising privileged class taxes to pre-1981 (pre-Reagan) levels 2) Extricating The Best and Finest of Us™ from SW Asia, and avoiding future historically unwinnable counterinsurgencies (such as those presently being conducted in SW Asia, and those previously conducted in SE Asia) and 3) Repealing federal statutes that are clearly in conflict with certain explicitly stated and directly related provisions of the Constitution (or that are in conflict with certain implicitly stated anti-stupidity provisions of the Constitution).
