Washington Nationals Wounded Warrior Amputees Head to All-Star Game
Jul 09 2012

Two of the players on the Washington Nationals Wounded Warrior softball team gave the professional players a run for their money yesterday! According to The Curly W Live, the Washington National’s official blog:
Third baseman Saul Bosquez and shortstop Matt Kinsey will join celebrities like actor Jon Hamm, U.S. National Soccer Team captain Carlos Bocanegra, NFL quarterback Matt Cassel, and a host of former Major Leaguers for the nationally-televised event.
While certainly talented, Bosquez and Kinsey are also humble, what some might call a rarity in the land of professional athletes:
“It gets me every time,” says Bosquez about stepping onto the grass. “It doesn’t even have to be a Major League field – it means so much just for us to be stepping out on the field period. Most of us never thought we would be doing anything like this.”
Hope you had a chance to catch the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game yesterday. Read more about the talented wounded warriors who got the call to the majors- at least for this one game – at Curly W Live.
