Thanks for the clarification, and the link to the FAQ page. It is very helpful.

I always knew this was too good to last, but I am still frustrated. Ugh!

Please let me know if there are any more avenues to voice our concern over this. What a travesty to such a great program and an injustice to service members and their spouses!

Eric, you can visit moaa.org/spouse and click on MyCAA Action Center to see what MOAA has said and done so far.

Click on the Act link to go to our Legislative Action Center and write your Congressional reps. (It’s super easy!) And then..spread the word! Tell every spouse you know to write their Congress. MOAA’s Legislative Action Center allows you to type in your zip code and send to all your reps at once. Thanks for taking the time to write – and act!

I am very frustrated. My career plan was to get my CPA license. I took the review course but now cannot get the exam funded because MYCAA considers that a new career plan! I don’t qualify under the new guidelines and I cannot use financial aid for a licensing exam. What a waste of time!

I went on the mycaa website and when approving my FA it mentioned that you have until 10/21/10 to complete. I worked yesterday and finish at 10:15. I got on the website to make sure I was in the expiration period. However, I checked the classes that I would be taking in Spring 2011. There was not enough funds available and I know I would be responsible for the balance that MYCAA did not cover. However, mycaa chose two out of the four. I noticed that and it should my balance I would be responsible for. I did not agree with the ones they selected so I preferred two other and i selected the two i want which previous one is convered fully and the balance of the other. Then they only accepted one, I tried to go back to see whats going on. Then the system completely shut off. I contacted MYCAA in the morning 10/22/10 and they advised me that the internet was eastern standard time which I was unaware and as I mentioned before under FA it only mention that you have until 10/21/10 which no time zone mention. I would appreciate If i get some assistance due to the fact the website was not specific to what time zone and also MYCAA did not allow me to choose the course I prefer. Please contact me at VIA EMAIL OR BY PHONE. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND ASSISTANCE.

I was hoping to speak to someone in regards to the benefits that I was approved for on July of 2009. I was approved for 6,000.00 and was set to start school. Unfortunately, I was hospitalized in ICU for 30 days. My recovery was longer than expected. And now that I am trying to get back to school and use my funds through mycaa, they are now saying that I no longer qualify because my husband is an E-6. I feel this is wrong due to the fact that it was out of my control. I would have used all of mycaa had I not been hospitalized. So, it is my fault that I almost lost my life. I hope to hear from someone with a resolution. I think there should be exceptions to situations like mine. Thank you!!!! Corine.

I thought the point of the program was to help people further their education. Now it is so limited that its ridiculous. I had been approved for the 6000 and now that got revoked. I never had any knowledge that this was happening. very frustrated!
