The difference between the oxygen concentrator and air purifier is the following:
An oxygen concentrator increases the number of O2 present in the air for different reasons, e.g.: a person requires higher concentration of O2 due to respiratory issues. In other words, it’s a medical device.
On the other hand, an air purifier removes particles from the air. The particles include dust, mold, fumes, gases, VOCs, allergens and other airborne irritants. In this way, the air is cleaned. However, air purifiers aren’t considered medical devices and can be purchased at any time by anyone.
My name is Alex Evans and I own this website. I have been in air purifier industry for several years now and nowadays I write about air purifiers, their features, benefits and downsides. Cheers!
